When the Teach is working, there is absolutely no talking.
All music stops immediately when the teacher gestures for silence.
Students will conduct themselves in class in ways that embody the SAS Core Values.
Daily Classroom Procedure:
Students will practice at home the assignments listed on the Google Calendar. There is no set practice time required - whatever time it takes for the student to play the assignment accurately is what is expected. The student should aim for multiple small sessions throughout the week rather than large quantities of time on weekends.

- When you enter the room, READ THE BOARD
- Get your instrument, pencil and music ready for class
- Greet your section members and those around you
- Be actively engaged during class and respectful to everyone in the room
- After you are dismissed, put all of your belongings away in the proper place and get rid of any trash around you, even if it was not yours
- Say “goodbye/thank you” to your section members and those around you and walk out of the room
